Terms of Use · Version 1
Clear permission. Automated screening. No hidden ownership transfer.
Adults only
Passenger Confessions accepts public-facing community submissions only from people who are at least 18 years old. By submitting, you confirm that you are 18 or older. Do not submit personal information that identifies a minor. If PC learns that a submitter is under 18, PC may stop ordinary processing and delete or restrict the submission, subject to applicable safety, legal, security, and preservation requirements.
Two community sections
Passenger Confessions is for anything a passenger wants to confess. It does not have to concern the ride or driver. Driver Field Notes is the driver-to-driver knowledge section for stories, encounters, safety lessons, earnings observations and strategies, equipment recommendations, market or event notes, BOLO-style operational warnings, driver lessons, and practical hacks.
Your submission responsibilities
You must have the right to submit the material. Do not knowingly submit false allegations, revenge material, threats, harassment, or identifying private information about another person. Avoid full names, exact addresses, phone numbers, usernames, license plates, workplaces, schools, private medical information, account credentials, government identifiers, and combinations of details that could reasonably identify a private person.
Quick Confession permission
Your original confession submission is private at intake. By checking the confession consent box, you authorize PC to receive, store, process, screen, and review your submission; use automated tools and human reviewers when needed for privacy, safety, and moderation; and edit, redact, or anonymize it.
If a privacy-screened version passes PC's publication rules, you grant PC a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, display, distribute, and publish that approved version through PC's service, PC-controlled editorial/community channels, and the public Vault. You retain ownership of your original submission.
This Quick Confession permission does not transfer copyright ownership to PC and does not authorize merchandise, advertising endorsements, sale of your story to third parties, release of raw/private source material, or authenticated long-term Archive rights. Those uses require a separate agreement.
Driver Field Notes permission
Driver Field Notes are private at intake and are screened before public use. A valid private email address is required to submit a community Field Note so PC has an operational contact for submission follow-up, accountability, rights/removal questions, and administration connected to that Field Note. The email is not public credit and does not subscribe you to marketing or recurring editorial email.
By submitting a Field Note and checking its consent boxes, you authorize PC to receive, store, process, screen, review when required, edit, redact, anonymize, and, if the screening and publication rules allow it, publish the Field Note through PC-controlled editorial or community channels under a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license. You retain ownership of your original submission. This permission does not authorize merchandise, endorsements, or resale to third parties.
Field Notes may be edited for privacy, clarity, length, safety, and fit. BOLO posts are for scams, road conditions, event problems, pickup patterns, hazards, and temporary operational warnings. BOLOs remain review-required and may not identify or accuse a private person.
Handbook delivery and optional story email
A Driver Handbook request authorizes the one-time handbook delivery when the required delivery box is checked. The separate story-email box is optional and unchecked by default. If you choose it, you separately authorize PC to retain that email as a recurring Passenger Confessions story/update preference under consent version pc-editorial-email-optin-v1-2026-08-23. Leaving the optional box unchecked does not affect handbook delivery. Recurring story/update email may be stopped through the unsubscribe mechanism provided with those messages or by contacting PC.
Publication and moderation
Publication is not guaranteed. Community submissions are screened before public use. Green material may publish automatically after privacy and harmful-content screening. Yellow material is held for human review. Red material remains private and is not used publicly. Serious Safety Red material is blocked from ordinary publication and prioritized for human review. PC may edit, redact, anonymize, hold, reject, restrict, unpublish, or remove material for privacy, safety, rights, legal, accuracy, security, or editorial reasons.
Contributor statements are not verified facts
Confessions and Field Notes are statements or accounts submitted by contributors. PC may screen, review, edit, redact, anonymize, or decline them, but PC does not independently verify every factual statement. Publication does not mean that PC endorses, confirms, or adopts an allegation, earnings claim, safety claim, product claim, or other statement as fact.
Identifiable accusations
PC does not intend to publish serious accusations against private people when the subject can reasonably be identified from the post or combination of details, particularly allegations involving crime, sexual misconduct, abuse, trafficking, fraud, theft, professional dishonesty, or similarly serious reputational harm. PC may generalize the contributor's experience, remove identifying detail, hold the submission, or decline publication.
Driver advice and earnings
Driver Field Notes reflect contributor experience. They are not guarantees of earnings, safety, legality, tax treatment, platform policy, product performance, or future results. Drivers remain responsible for following applicable law, platform rules, insurance requirements, and their own judgment.
Safety and emergency disclosures
Passenger Confessions is not an emergency service, law-enforcement reporting channel, legal service, therapist, or confidential/privileged professional service. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency service. PC may preserve or disclose information when required by applicable law or legal process, or when disclosure is otherwise lawfully permitted under PC's safety, emergency, and legal procedures. Serious safety material is blocked from ordinary publication and sent for priority human review.
Removal and correction
Publication permission does not guarantee that every later request will result in deletion. Contributors and affected people may request correction, restriction, anonymization, or removal under PC's Removal and Correction Policy. Legal, safety, security, fraud, evidence-preservation, litigation, or other lawful holds may delay or limit deletion.
Public Vault and long-term Archive are different programs
The current Vault-enabled Quick Confession consent authorizes the approved public-safe version to appear in the public Vault. It does not activate PC's proposed authenticated long-term Archive Submission or any separate 90-day ordinary-withdrawal mechanism. Those broader Archive rights remain separate. Earlier submissions made under an older limited consent are not silently converted to the newer public-Vault permission.
Wear This voting
Wear This is an advisory product-interest signal, not a promise that a confession will become merchandise and not a determination that one person's story is more important than another's. The current public ranking uses a monthly cycle and may reset when a new cycle begins. PC may retain prior-cycle vote records or aggregate totals for integrity, trend analysis, and historical comparison.
PC may reject, remove, discount, or correct votes that reasonably appear automated, duplicated, manipulated, abusive, or otherwise inconsistent with the voting rules. Rankings can change as votes are received or corrected. A high ranking does not require PC to manufacture, advertise, or sell any product. Rights, privacy, safety, product economics, owner review, and any required counsel clearance still control whether a concept can advance.
A vote does not expand the contributor's license and does not create merchandise rights. It does not authorize PC to use a contributor's handwriting, illustration, notebook scan, signature, historical photograph, or other source artifact commercially. Those uses require whatever separate rights clearance applies to the specific material.
Voting by itself does not subscribe a visitor to email. If PC offers a product-alert signup after a vote, a requested alert about that specific concept and broader marketing communications must remain separate choices. See the Privacy & Submission Notice for the browser-storage and anti-abuse data used by the voting system.
Privacy
PC's collection, processing, vendors, analytics, email-preference, retention, and disclosure practices are described in the Privacy & Submission Notice. Raw confession content, private review material, optional Quick Confession email, required private Driver Field Note email, and opted-in handbook story-email addresses are not returned through public feeds or the public Vault.
Changes to these terms
PC may revise these terms as the service develops. A materially changed submission permission requires a new terms or consent version for later submissions; PC does not silently convert an earlier limited license into broader ownership, merchandise, advertising, third-party licensing, or Archive rights.
