Removal & Correction Policy

Raise the issue. PC reviews the risk, not just the request.

A contributor or affected person may ask PC to correct, restrict, anonymize, or remove material.

How to make a request

Use the Contact page and choose the appropriate privacy, removal, correction, or rights topic, or email confess@passengerconfessions.com. Include enough information to locate the material. Do not send government identification unless PC specifically determines that additional verification is reasonably necessary.

What PC prioritizes

PC prioritizes reports involving mistaken identity, exposure of personal information, credible safety risk, defamation, intellectual-property infringement, or material factual error. PC may temporarily restrict material while a serious complaint is reviewed.

Verification and minimization

PC may request only information reasonably necessary to locate the material and evaluate or verify the request. Routine contributor requests should ordinarily be verified through the email or account associated with the submission or another reasonably verified method rather than government identification.

Response targets

PC aims to acknowledge ordinary requests within 3 business days and to decide them within 10 business days when reasonably possible. Safety and privacy emergencies receive priority. These are operating targets, not promises that every matter can be completed within those periods.

When deletion can be delayed or limited

PC may deny or delay deletion when retention is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, preserve evidence, investigate fraud or security incidents, satisfy a lawful safety or preservation obligation, or maintain records of rights previously granted or exercised. Information retained solely because of such a hold is restricted to the purpose of the hold.

Copies outside PC's control

Removal from PC's systems does not guarantee removal from third-party copies, search caches, screenshots, previously distributed publications, or other copies outside PC's control.

Quick Confession versus Archive

Quick Confession contributors retain ownership of their original submission and grant only the limited publication permission stated in the current consent. The proposed authenticated long-term Archive Agreement and any separate 90-day ordinary-withdrawal mechanism are separate programs and are not activated by an ordinary Quick Confession.
