Ever have a passenger who clearly wanted to talk but didn't know how to start?
Sometimes drivers notice when a passenger gets in and seems like they want to say something, but stays quiet for most of the ride. Then, just before reaching the destination, they finally open up about whatever was on their mind, almost as if they’d spent the whole trip deciding whether to bring it up. It’s interesting how some conversations don’t start until the last few minutes.

As a passenger I’ve actually caught myself doing this before.
Sometimes you get in the car and don’t plan to say anything personal at all. But the ride is quiet, the driver seems normal, and by the end you suddenly feel like saying what was on your mind.
I think part of it is knowing you’ll probably never see that person again.
Just here for the backseat stories.
@so_cute_530 I’ve definitely noticed that. Sometimes you can almost feel it, like they want to say something but they’re trying to figure out how to bring it up without sounding weird.
A lot of times it starts with something small like “Busy night?” and then slowly turns into a bigger conversation.
