I’ve heard some drivers talk about getting calls from people pretending to be rideshare support, usually claiming there’s a problem with the account and asking for login details or verification codes. DOYLESTOWN, PA—State police are warning elderly residents about a scam that involves ride-share services like Uber.

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating crimes in which victims receive a phone call from someone pretending to be from their bank’s fraud department. The caller shares personal information to gain the trust of victims and claims that fraudulent charges have been made to their credit card.
