Lyft/Uber "surges" practically non existent
Is it just me, or have surges basically vanished? I’m not mad, just confused. If surges aren’t really a thing anymore, it’d be nice to know so drivers aren’t chasing red zones that disappear the moment you’re two minutes away. 🙄
Yeah, Ive noticed it too. Feels like surges pop up just long enough to get you moving and then vanish once youre close. I stopped chasing them a while back because it started feeling like a waste of gas and patience. 🧐
Thanks for adding to the conversation; glad to catch you quick after. Chasing red zones used to make sense. Now it often just burns fuel and time. Like Rideshare_Guy said, many drivers are adjusting by sticking to areas they know stay busy instead of playing surge roulette.
